Lectures and demonstrations are combined with field applications to give students direct experience and knowledge of sustainable agriculture and horticulture practices and principles. UCSC Farm and Garden are the living laboratories for testing agroecological principles. Emphasis is placed on small-farm systems. May be applied to major only once. May be repeated for credit.
Enrollment Requirements
Prerequisite(s): Previous or concurrent enrollment in ENVS 100 and ENVS 100L, or by permission of instructor.
Class Notes
ENVS 133 will take place from July 8th through Aug 23rd. It is a full-time, 7-week residential traveling course.
This is one of three required courses that must be enrolled in simultaneously. ENVS 133 must be taken with ENVS 130A and 2 unit Lab and ENVS 130C, all at the same time.
Students must apply to enroll and cannot complete enrollment without permission of the instructor (Damian Parr, dmparr@ucsc.edu).
