Description
Introduction to feminist philosophy. The topics may include (but are not limited to) oppression, normalization, discrimination, objectification, misogyny, androcentrism, patriarchy, the sex-gender distinction, sexed embodiment, gendered labor, and the relationships between sexism, racism, homophobia, and transphobia.

This summer, we will be exploring various topics in feminist philosophy. Through readings, videos, discussions, and assignments, students will have the opportunity to learn varied perspectives and reflect on their own views and lived experiences regarding the sex/gender distinction, gendered language, attraction, sexual consent and entitlement, and more.
