Description
Problems in writing for film and television are explored through the writing of original material and analysis of existing works. Various film genres, conventions, and styles, both fictional and nonfictional, are examined. Prerequisite(s): satisfaction of the Entry Level Writing and Composition requirements. Admission by application; application materials available during the last three weeks of preceding quarter. May be repeated for credit.
Class Notes
From the Instructor: The focus of Summer Session Film 150 will be "Sketch Comedy." Students will write short comedic sketches for every class session. No books to purchase. No application is required this summer. This course is intended for UCSC students. It is not appropriate for visiting and high school students.
