Class Notes
All Students can enroll - restrictions waived in summer. Class meets June 21 to July 1, and July 5.
Special Session - June 21 to July 1; and July 5. TOPIC: Experiments in Play: Poetry and Performance This summer's topic offers a generative space to create and encounter poetry through a set of distinct performance practices: improvisation, spoken word, movement, sound and visual art, and other related interdisciplinary practices to develop and animate writing. This is a practice-based course in which students will create in and out of the class. During this in-class period each day, students will engage in daily prompts, focusing on individual writing/art projects, collaborative engagements in pairs and small groups, presentations of their work, discussion, as well as breaks. Outside of class, students will engage in course readings, as well as refine and expand their own creative work.
