Description
Examines how to strengthen health systems by developing and practicing lessons from global health policy studies to compare, contrast, and communicate opportunities for community health worker integration and intervention. The key politics questions running through the course concern whether and how community health work can be integrated with the policies and practices of global health agencies, national health programs, public health administration, and public health systems more generally, including ''health in all policies'' approaches to local government.
Class Notes
Enroll in lecture and associated discussion section. This class will require field research outside of class time conducting phone/zoom interviews with community health workers and public health officials.
