Description

Course focuses on vertebrate form and function: an integration of physiology and biomechanics. Topics include: the physiology and biomechanics underlying vertebrate locomotion; vertebrate feeding; and the morphological changes associated with different locomotion and feeding strategies through evolutionary time.

Enrollment Requirements

Prerequisite(s): BIOL 20A and BIOE 20B and BIOE 20C. Concurrent enrollment in BIOE 134L is required.

Provide proof of prerequisite material. Visiting Students - prerequisites are lifted in summer. Contact summer@ucsc.edu for a permission code to enroll. From the instructor: I like to host live times where the class can come talk with me and review the material with me. For the lecture, these times are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10-1 pm. And for the labs, my TA and I will be available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2-3 pm or by appointment.
