Description
Special studies in photography, concentrating on specific subject matter or media. Topics may include documentary photography, landscape, alternative processes, or mixed media. Students are billed a materials fee. May be repeated for credit.
Enrollment Requirements
Prerequisite(s): ART 150 or ART 156. Enrollment is restricted to art majors.
Class Notes
All Students - prerequisites and restrictions lifted in summer. It is not advisable to take more than one studio in a session. There is no course material fee associated with this course and students will be responsible for purchasing their own materials with guidance before the start of the class. From the Instructor: This special topics photography class will explore methods of generating light based images using alternative photographic processes including cyanotype, SolarFast dye, coffee based developer, gel medium image transfers, alcohol transfers and homemade pinhole cameras.
