          Description
          
            Introduces the methods, materials, and history of printmaking and drawing as a tool for creative exploration. Understanding and development of concepts and skills are achieved through a series of lectures, studio demonstrations and practice, assignments, and critiques. Students are billed for a materials fee.          
         
                
          Enrollment Requirements
          
            Prerequisite(s): two courses from ART 10D, ART 10E, ART 10F. Enrollment is restricted to proposed art and art majors.          
         
        
                
          Class Notes
          
            All Students - prerequisites and restrictions lifted in summer. It is not advisable to take more than one studio in a session. No materials fee this summer.
From the Instructor:
This is a hands-on introductory-level class.  No prior experience in drawing or printmaking is required.
The class will be a mixture of technical demonstrations, video, lecture, and daily break-out rooms where you will be able to practice printmaking techniques while the instructor is present for feedback and troubleshooting if needed.
Schedule:
9:30-10:30 Lecture and demonstration
10:45-12:30 Breakout sections for hands-on studio sessions 45 minutes per group.
12:30-1:30 lunch break
1:30-2:30 Lecture and demonstration
2:30-3:00 individual meetings.  Required to visit once during the quarter as scheduled.
