Description
Explores the political and economic systems of advanced industrialized societies. In addition to specific comparisons between the countries of western Europe and the United States, covers important themes and challenges, including immigration, globalization, and the crisis of the welfare state.

Prerequisite(s): satisfaction of the Entry Level Writing and Composition requirements.
Class Notes
Visiting Students - prerequisites are lifted in summer.
This course is taught completely online. Students watch lectures on their own and meet via videoconference for required scheduled discussion sections: Thursdays 8-9 AM, 12-1 PM or 9-10PM Pacific Standard Time (PST). In summer, enrollment restrictions are lifted for all students.
