OpenDescription
An examination of the history and mechanisms of evolutionary change. Topics include molecular evolution, natural and sexual selection, adaptation, speciation, biogeography, and macroevolution.
Enrollment Requirements
Prerequisite(s): satisfaction of the Entry Level Writing and Composition requirements; BIOL 20A, BIOE 20B, BIOE 20C, and BIOL 105. Prerequisites waived for non-UCSC students.
Class Notes
UCSC students - if you're enrolled in BIOL 105 in Session 1, email summer@ucsc.edu for a permission code for BIOE 109 in Session 2.
Visiting Students - prerequisites are lifted in summer. This course is completely online.
