OpenDescription
Introduces the tools and techniques required to develop the sophisticated interactive mobile applications we use daily on our Android and iOS devices. Native (specific to Android or iOS devices) and cross-platform (designed to work on both Android and iOS) development is undertaken with deployment to device emulators and, optionally, personal devices. Ownership of an Android or iOS device is not required and confers no advantage. (Formerly CMPS 121.)
Enrollment Requirements
Prerequisite(s): CSE 101. Enrollment is restricted to juniors and seniors.
Class Notes
Enrollment is restricted to current UCSC students only. An unfortunate administrative error led to four times as many students enrolled. All students beyond the first 24 who enrolled have been dropped. The department has a list of every student over 24 and the exact order they enrolled. If space opens up, you will be contacted by the instructor or advising@soe.ucsc.edu in the order you were originally enrolled - with a permission number to add. If you were never enrolled, your waitlist position has moved down by over 100, and we suggest seeking alternate summer courses.
